How similar this song is to Rasik Balama...........it is said that they are from the same Raaga Shudh Kalyan which is a very popular Raga with reference to classical music:

Both songs were composed independently by two music directors. Since both songs were composed on Raga Shudh Kalyan, both have the same bandishi or pakkad. And this is the reason why both songs sound so similar. There was no question of one being a copy of the other. In those golden years of 1950s, one could not even think of plagiarism, which unfortunately is rampant in some of the present day Hindi film music.
